Eco2 Management Services Ltd (EMSL) are looking for a full time General Manager to be based at our Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant. This is a permanent post.This is a key leadership role within our Sleaford team, with responsibility for leading delivery at site and ensuring a high-quality, well-governed service to our client.Reporting to the Managing Director, Operations, the General Manager will oversee a multi-disciplinary team and play a central role in plant leadership, contractor management, fuel planning and governance, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement. There will also be opportunities for hybrid working where appropriate. Key Responsibilities:· Provide full leadership and strategic oversight of the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant, ensuring effective delivery of the Management Services Agreement and, where applicable, the Fuel Services Agreement.· Lead a multi-disciplinary site team and foster a strong culture of safety, accountability and performance.· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and statutory obligations across the site.· Lead and manage the performance of contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear oversight, strong governance and delivery against contractual obligations.· Oversee fuel planning, fuel supplier performance and fuel-related governance, working closely with the wider team to support timely and well-considered recommendations.· Ensure reporting is accurate, timely and useful, with clear KPIs, insights, actions and escalation where needed.· Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders including the client, regulators, suppliers, local authorities and network operators.· Oversee budget planning, cost control and financial performance in collaboration with the Finance team.· Identify and lead operational improvement and capital projects across the plant.· Support continuous improvement across site operations, systems, ways of working and overall service delivery. Who You Are:You will:· Have significant experience in a senior operational leadership role within a process plant, power generation, industrial or similar environment.· Bring strong experience of contractor and supplier management as well as commercial negotiations, with the ability to balance operational, commercial and compliance priorities.· Have strong commercial awareness and experience of working in a contract-led or managed services environment.· Have a good understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance in a UK industrial or energy setting.· Hold a NEBOSH qualification, or equivalent.· Be a confident and credible leader, able to build strong working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.· Have sound financial awareness, including experience of budgets, forecasting and cost control.· Bring a high level of emotional intelligence, good judgement and a calm, pragmatic approach to leadership.· Be highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working across a varied and sometimes fast-moving operational environment.· Be confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools.· Ideally have experience in biomass, waste-to-energy, renewable energy generation or a related sector.· Ideally have experience of leading improvement projects, capital works, or structured continuous improvement activity.Pay: £75,000.00-£83,000.00 per yearBenefits:
