The role can be based remotely within Australia or New Zealand. Main ResponsibilitiesDefine the engineering vision, architecture, and roadmap for Atlassian's Automation Platform.Lead the development of scalable, secure automation services and APIs.Manage and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers across distributed teams.Improve platform reliability, performance, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).Partner with Product, Design, and Platform teams to deliver automation features.Drive adoption of automation capabilities across Atlassian products.Oversee hiring, team growth, budgets, and operational excellence.Evaluate emerging technologies including AI, workflow orchestration, and cloud-native platforms. Required ExperienceExperience leading large backend or infrastructure engineering organizations.Expertise in distributed systems and enterprise-scale platforms.Strong knowledge of automation platforms, workflow engines, or asynchronous systems.Proven track record delivering highly reliable and secure cloud services.Experience leading multi-year technical initiatives across multiple teams.Pay: From $21,700.00 per monthBenefits:
