Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:
Located 10km north of Saskatoon. Northern Farm Foods Ltd is a producer owned Non-GMO Canola processing Facility. We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.Northern Farm Foods is expanding and looking for a person who would like to join our team and help build our company, enjoying a friendly work environment with room for personal growth. Duties:

• Responsible for coordinating and scheduling of inbound seed trucks, outbound canola meal trucks and oil railcars
• Communication with farmers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely inbound and outbound of trucks
• Negotiating freight rates with truck companies
• Calculating and monitoring best rail rates to US and Canadian destinations
• Communication with various departments within the organization to ensure production is uninterrupted with smooth inflow and outflow of oil, meal, and canola seed.

Requirements:

• The ideal applicant will have experience as a logistics coordinator agriculture background an asset
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management skills, multi-tasking, prioritizing work, and exercising initiative to ensure an efficient and quality level of service.
• Ability to work with little supervision, rack multiple processes and multitask.
• Good team player.
• Good computer skills are a must, with experience using Word, Excel, Outlook
