Fabricator Welder – Northland & Rodney District We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabricator Welder for quarry and industrial maintenance work. Applicants must be capable of working independently, carrying out complex fabrication and welding repairs, interpreting and producing work without detailed drawings, and performing site maintenance in demanding industrial environments." A&P Welding Limited is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer. This is a hands-on position working primarily within quarries, concrete plants and industrial sites throughout Northland and the Rodney District. The role offers a variety of fabrication, welding, maintenance, shutdown and breakdown work in demanding industrial environments. About the Role The successful applicant will be required to: Fabricate, repair and install steel components and structures. Carry out MIG, Stick and Flux Core welding to a high standard. Perform gas cutting, gouging, grinding and general fabrication duties. Fabricate and repair equipment on-site, often without drawings. Undertake maintenance, shutdown and breakdown work on quarry and industrial equipment. Travel to various customer sites throughout Northland and Rodney in company vehicles. Follow all Health and Safety requirements and site procedures. Work both independently and as part of a team. Skills and Experience Required Applicants should have: Trade qualifications in fabrication, welding, and practical experience. Proven fabrication and welding experience in industrial environments. Ability to fabricate and repair without constant supervision. Experience with heavy steel fabrication and maintenance work. Ability to fabricate without drawings and able to measure correctly, also able to read and interpret drawings and measurements. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. Additional Requirements Must be physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments. Must be willing to undergo site inductions, medical assessments and drug and alcohol testing if required by customers. Full driver's license preferred. Applicants must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays as these are normal working days for this position. Must be willing and available to work nightshifts as part of normal operations.
