Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS curriculum
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Support children’s individual needs and promote positive behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent care and learning outcomes
- Uphold nursery policies and comply with safeguarding and health & safety standards
Required Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate:
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm in teaching approaches
- Minimum 2 years of nursery experience (required)
- Minimum 2 years of early childhood education experience (required)
- Familiarity with the EYFS curriculum and its practical application
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication
Accepted QualificationsApplicants must hold one of the following:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree assessed by ECCTIS through the early years service
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years completed in the UK
