As an Applied Research Engineer, you will design and develop high-performance systems and scalable pipelines for large-scale video content analysis. This role blends research, engineering, and product development, requiring creative solutions to complex technical challenges.
You will work across computer vision, audio processing, and natural language processing to enhance model performance, efficiency, and reliability in production.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with machine learning models and APIs, and continuously optimizes performance through preprocessing, post-processing, parallelization, pipeline design, inference optimization, and targeted model fine-tuning.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable systems for video, audio, and multimodal data processing.
- Develop and optimize machine learning pipelines for large-scale production environments.
- Improve model accuracy and efficiency through innovative engineering approaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and customer needs into technical solutions.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize state-of-the-art AI models and APIs.
- Contribute to the development of end-to-end AI products and platforms.
- Conduct experimentation and research to solve complex technical challenges.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Computer Vision, Audio Processing, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Experience working with machine learning models, APIs, and production systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable components.
- Passion for video technologies, AI, and emerging media applications.
- Interest in building complete products rather than focusing solely on model development.
