ONDAM KOREAN RESTAURANT (EXPERIENCED COOK / CHEF WANTED!)
We are seeking an experienced cook / chef with a strong background in Kitchen for our shop. The successful applicant must be committed to the kitchen team on a daily basis.You must be a team player with a positive attitude and a sense of responsibility. Additionally, you should be willing to work both in a team environment and independently.Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (plus superannuation)0What we offer▪ Full-time role▪ Weekly roster▪ Great location▪ Fantastic work life balance▪ Great hourly rate based on your experienceThe RoleKey responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:▪ Prepare and cook a variety of Korean dishes (e.g. BBQ, soups, stews, and side dishes) to a high standard▪ Ensure all food is prepared consistently and presented well according to restaurant standards▪ Manage food preparation during service and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations▪ Monitor stock levels of ingredients and place orders as required within budget▪ Check the quality of ingredients and ensure proper storage and handling▪ Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times▪ Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations▪ Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff▪ Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods▪ Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements where appropriateThe position RequiresThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of success within a similar role or work environment.▪ Have a right to work in Australia▪ Previous experience (at least 2 years) in a similar role with references▪ Must be fully available over a 7-day roster▪ Be able to work under pressure▪ Be a team player▪ Highly organized and efficientThe candidate must also have strong communication skills, show attention to detail, and be well-presented and punctual.
