Chief Operating Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, Australian Procurement Group (APG) — a fast-growing procurement and sourcing firm helping businesses trade smarter between Vietnam and Australia across sectors such as agri-food, minerals, container leasing and renting, modular housing, and manufacturing. About the CompanyAustralian Procurement Group (APG) is a procurement and trade advisory firm based in Adelaide and Melbourne. APG is facilitating commercial transactions between Australia and Vietnam. We provide sourcing, logistics, market entry support, and container/modular solutions for clients across agri-food, minerals, manufacturing, and infrastructure.As we expand our cross-border operations, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our service delivery and operational functions across both countries. About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee day-to-day operations, manage delivery teams, and ensure service excellence across procurement, logistics, container solutions, and trade compliance. You’ll play a key role in scaling APG’s capabilities and aligning systems, people, and processes to support cross-border growth.This is a unique opportunity to shape the operational backbone of a growing, high-impact business working across two of Asia-Pacific’s most dynamic markets. Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead APG’s sourcing, logistics, project execution, and container operations across Australia and Vietnam.
• Oversee procurement delivery, supplier management, and client fulfilment.
• Drive operational performance, process improvement, and KPI management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards in both countries.
• Collaborate with executive and client advisory teams to support market entry strategies.
• Implement scalable systems, workflow automation, and risk controls.
• Build and lead high-performing cross-border teams and delivery functions

What We’re Looking for

• 10+ years in senior operational or supply chain leadership.
• Experience in international procurement, logistics, or trade operations.
• Strong understanding of import/export processes and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage service delivery across countries or remote teams.
• Familiarity with ERP, supply chain or logistics systems.
• Track record in driving efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction.
• Fluent in English; Vietnamese language is an advantage.
