An opportunity has arisen for a doctor to be part of a fantastic Stroke team at a hospital situated in the Southwest of England. This is a substantive post; however, candidates wishing to apply for a fixed-term role will also be considered.Position DetailsOur client is looking for a Stroke Medicine doctor at either Associate Specialist or Consultant level. The current team includes one Stroke Consultant, four Stroke specialist nurses, four junior doctors, and a medical registrar. - Continuing responsibility for patient care, including administrative duties.
- Contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education activities.
- Providing cover for colleagues’ leave in accordance with Trust policies.
- Participating in clinical audits and continuing medical education.
- Providing evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Handling emergencies and unforeseen circumstances as needed.
- These duties are not definitive and may change according to service needs.Eligibility Criteria
- Full GMC registration.
- For overseas candidates, completion of the necessary language tests (IELTS / OET / NARIC) before applying, satisfying UKVI language requirements.
Additional InformationConsultant candidates may join the General Medical Rota, and Associate Specialists can participate in a 1 in 8 weekend rota Saturday and Sunday) if desired.Benefits- Competitive and flexible benefits package.
