- Deliver live science shows, planetarium sessions and workshops
- Engage visitors across exhibition spaces through interactive demonstrations (“busking”)
- Support school visits, family audiences and corporate events
- Explain scientific concepts in an accessible, engaging way
- Work across front-of-house operations including admissions and retail
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment
- Support visitor flow and enhance the overall customer experience
What we’re looking forThis role would suit candidates with experience in:
- Science communication / STEM / STEAM engagement
- Teaching, education or outreach
- Performing, presenting or public speaking
- Customer service, hospitality or visitor attractions (museums, galleries, science centres, zoos, etc.)
Essential skills:
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Experience working with the public or groups
- Ability to engage audiences of all ages
- Team player with a proactive attitude
Desirable:
- Degree in science, education or related subject
- Experience delivering workshops, demonstrations or events
- Welsh language skills
Working pattern
- Full-time hours on a rota basis (7 days per week)
- Includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays
- Flexible working required based on operational needs
