Crafts Studio Shift Lead

Position SummaryWe are seeking an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Shift Lead to support daily studio operations, lead team members during shifts, and ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. This role combines leadership, customer service, studio operations, and hands-on support for workshops and creative activities.The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can confidently manage studio operations, support staff, maintain high service standards, and help create a positive and creative atmosphere. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations

• Lead daily studio operations during assigned shifts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and customers when managers are not present.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Delegate tasks and ensure team members complete responsibilities efficiently.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.
• Monitor studio cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout each shift.

Customer Experience

• Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist customers in selecting projects and understanding workshop processes.
• Handle customer concerns, questions, and feedback professionally.
• Ensure guests have a fun, engaging, and memorable experience from arrival to departure.
• Support private events, birthday parties, team-building activities, and special workshops.

Workshop & Studio Support

• Assist in facilitating art and craft workshops, including tufting, decoden, paint pouring, and other studio offerings.
• Guide participants on project techniques, materials, and proper tool usage.
• Prepare materials and workstations before sessions.
• Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of workshops and events.

Inventory & Administrative Support

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Help organize and restock materials, retail products, and workshop supplies.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports.
• Ensure studio displays, retail products, and project samples are presented attractively.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, event management, or team leadership preferred.
• Experience in arts, crafts, DIY projects, or creative workshops is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable leading small groups and speaking with customers.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Availability Requirements

• Must be available to work one day of weekends.
• Flexible availability for evenings, holidays, and special events is preferred.
