Role OverviewWe are seeking a Mid-Level Python Developer (3–5 years experience) with strong expertise in machine learning and data-intensive applications. The ideal candidate will work on building scalable ML systems, including LLMs and RAG-based solutions, supporting Tesla’s vehicle and energy platforms.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI
- Solid understanding of:
- REST APIs
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience with PyTorch (preferred) or other deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow / JAX
- Experience working with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) models
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using supervised learning techniques
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices for ML applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including vehicle service, energy, and software engineering teams
- Own and manage production ML models, including monitoring and alerting systems
- Work with diverse datasets (text, voice, images, structured data)
- Translate ambiguous business problems into end-to-end ML solutions
- Follow Agile methodologies and write clean, modular, maintainable code
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Python development for high-performance applications
- Hands-on experience in production-level ML model deployment
- Strong understanding of statistics and model evaluation techniques
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX)
- Knowledge in areas such as:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Recommendation Systems (plus)
- Ability to convert research concepts into production-ready systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with RAG pipelines and GenAI applications
- Exposure to real-time ML systems
- Prior experience in automotive, energy, or IoT domains
