Hawkins Construction is a New Zealand-based contractor delivering commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction projects, known for large-scale building developments and project management services. Engineering Manager - North (Hawkins Construction, Auckland)This role is a senior construction engineering leadership position, not a software engineering manager role. The successful candidate partners with project teams across Hawkins' Northern and Central regions and provides technical leadership on major commercial construction projects. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering leadership across construction projects.Advise on structural engineering and temporary works.Develop construction methodologies, planning, and engineering processes.Support quality assurance and engineering governance.Create and maintain engineering documentation and standards.Conduct technical reporting, auditing, and training.Work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.Travel across the Northern and Central regions as required. Required ExperienceChartered Engineer status (Engineering New Zealand/IPENZ).Extensive experience in construction engineering and temporary works.Strong understanding of New Zealand construction standards.Experience with Tier 1 commercial contractors.Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.Pay: From $16,700.00 per monthBenefits:
