Landscape Construction Lead

️ Landscape & Interlock Lead (Crew Lead / Skilled Operator) Location: Markham and surrounding GTA Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Wage: $35/hour (starting) + benefits + year-end performance bonus ⸻ About the Role We are a growing excavation, stump grinding, and landscaping company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Landscape & Interlock Lead to help run day-to-day operations during weekdays. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, can independently manage job sites, and enjoys working directly with clients. ⸻ Responsibilities • Install interlock patios, walkways, driveways, and retaining walls • Perform general landscaping work (grading, sod, planting, site preparation) • Operate and maintain equipment including: • Mini excavators • Skid steers • Stump grinders • Other landscaping and construction machinery • Meet with clients on-site and prepare job estimates/quotes • Lead job sites and supervise/train team members • Ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments ⸻ ✅ Requirements • Proven experience in: • Interlocking and hardscaping • Landscaping and site preparation • Experience operating mini excavators and/or skid steers • Strong eye for detail and high-quality workmanship • Ability to quote jobs and manage projects independently • Leadership skills with the ability to train and guide others • Strong communication and customer service skills • Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in all conditions ⸻ Assets (Preferred) • Valid driver’s license • Own truck or reliable transportation • Experience with multiple types of landscaping and construction equipment ⸻ Performance Bonus (Workmanship-Based) Employees are eligible for a year-end performance bonus based on: • Quality of workmanship • Efficiency and project completion • Customer satisfaction As part of performance evaluation, employees may be asked to: • Document completed projects (photos/videos) to showcase craftsmanship and final results High-quality work and documented results may lead to: • Increased bonus • Expanded leadership responsibilities ⸻ What We Offer • Competitive wage: $35/hour • Benefits package • Performance-based bonus • Opportunity to grow into a key leadership role within a growing company • Consistent pipeline of projects ⸻ This position is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and qualified foreign workers.
