Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title : Mechanical Design Engineer Location : Foster City, CA (5 days onsite / week) Job Type : Contract Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:· Design and develop thermal systems and components including HVAC modules, ducts, hoses, heat exchangers and related cooling components.· Perform thermal analysis and simulations to validate system performance under various operating conditions· Work on and design plastic and metal components, including material selection, design for manufacturability (DFM), and tooling considerations· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, manufacturing, suppliers) to optimize designs· Support, build and coordinate prototype builds, testing, and validation of thermal systems· Troubleshoot and resolve thermal performance issues during development and production phases· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements· Participate in design reviews and provide technical documentation· Release the designed parts as part of the design and development activities Required Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field· 3+ years of experience in automotive thermal systems or related domain· Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat exchangers, and air duct design· Experience working with plastic components and injection molding processes· Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks)· Understanding of thermal and fluid dynamics principles· Experience with CAE tools for thermal analysis is a plus· Good problem-solving and analytical skillsPay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hourApplication Question(s):
