The company is a world leader in the collection, processing, and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous recycled metals, as well as electronics recycling and IT asset disposition services.The Sims Metal Yard Operator / Forklift Operator role is a hands-on recycling yard job focused on forklift driving, sorting scrap metals, customer service, and keeping the site safe and organised. Typical job duties Based on current NSW listings, the role usually includes:Operating forklifts to load, unload, and move scrap metalSorting and grading metals like copper, aluminium, and brassAssisting customers bringing recyclable materialsMaintaining yard cleanliness and safetyBelt picking and general plant/yard workFollowing workplace safety proceduresWorking day shifts with overtime and some Saturdays available Requirements Common requirements include:Current LF Forklift LicenceGood physical fitnessReliable attendanceAbility to work outdoors and around heavy machinerySafety-focused attitudeExperience in recycling, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments is preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $6,800.00 per monthBenefits:
