This role provides direct leadership over AI and technology-related academic programs, with responsibility for instructional quality, faculty development, curriculum advancement, and student success outcomes. This position is designed as a high-impact leadership role focused on academic excellence, program ownership, and continuous improvement. The person works in close collaboration with the Director of Academic Operations to ensure that academic programs are not only compliant and well-executed, but also engaging, innovative, and aligned with institutional mission and industry needs. This role serves as a primary academic leadership extension of the Dean, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day academic quality across assigned programs. Responsibilities

- AI Program Leadership & Oversight
- Provide end-to-end academic leadership for AI and technology programs, including AIBT, AIBM, AI Medical Billing & Coding (in collaboration with Health & Wellness), and future AI program expansions.
B. Curriculum Development & Academic Strategy
- Collaborate with the Dean of Academics on curriculum design, revision, and enhancement
- Ensure curriculum reflects academic rigor, ethical grounding, and workforce relevance
- Lead development of new courses and program offerings within AI and related disciplines
- Maintain alignment between curriculum, certification objectives, and student learning outcomes
C. Faculty Development & Instructional Excellence
- Lead faculty onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing professional development initiatives
- Monitor and support instructional quality through mentorship session reviews, feedback, and coaching
- Promote consistent implementation of the flipped classroom model and active learning strategies
- Support faculty in integrating ethical reasoning, professional responsibility, and mission-aligned values into instruction
D. Student Success & Academic Performance
- Monitor student performance trends, engagement, and at-risk indicators within assigned programs
- Collaborate with Student Services and Academic Advising to support intervention strategies
- Contribute to initiatives that improve retention, completion, and certification outcomes
- Ensure academic delivery supports student success and positive learning experiences
E. Academic Leadership & Operational Support
- Serve as a key academic leadership partner to the Dean of Academics
- Provide oversight and support for day-to-day academic quality and instructional consistency
- Collaborate with the Director of Academic Operations to ensure alignment between academic strategy and execution
- Support accreditation readiness, program documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
F. Cross-Department Collaboration & Industry Alignment
- Partner with Admissions, Student Services, Career Services, and Marketing to support student lifecycle success
- Engage with industry partners, advisory boards, and external stakeholders to maintain program relevance
- Support institutional initiatives related to program growth, innovation, and market alignment
G. Instructional Engagement (Teaching as Needed)
- Teach courses or facilitate workshops as needed to support program delivery, faculty development, or instructional demonstration
- Maintain active engagement with the student experience to inform leadership decisions and instructional practices
- Model high-quality teaching aligned with institutional standards and expectations
- Ensure program alignment with industry certifications, workforce demands, and institutional outcomes
- Oversee capstone integration and program continuity across courses
- Lead program evaluation, improvement, and innovation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Academic Leadership, Instructional Design, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in academic leadership, faculty development, curriculum design, or instructional management
- Experience in AI, technology, business, or related academic disciplines preferred
- Demonstrated ability to mentor faculty and drive instructional quality
- Familiarity with accreditation standards, outcomes assessment, and academic compliance
