A Band 6 vacancy for a Junior Charge Nurse / ODP has arisen in Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Theatres at Castle Hill Hospital.
We would like to invite applications from practitioners who have at least 18 month peri-operative experience as a band 5 or above, to work in this busy, exciting and expanding area. Recent experience in theatres and a current mentorship qualification are essential.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to joining the Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Team at Castle Hill Hospital. The successful candidate will act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all aspects of their work.
The successful candidate will support the theatre team and foster a psychologically safe space and inclusive environment where all staff feel heard and valued.
The successful applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join a strong proactive management team. The ability to adapt well to change, participate in theatre audits and quality improvement projects is essential.
Staff will be expected to participate in various 24 hour, 7 days a week shifts. A flexible attitude to meet the needs of the service is essential.
