Museum & Visitor Experience Manager
Cornwall
JWR is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Museum & Visitor Experience Manager to lead operations at a unique living museum and immersive exhibition in Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity for a heritage professional with strong knowledge of South African history, particularly the Anglo-Boer War, to oversee a high-quality visitor attraction while leading and developing a small team.
Package
Salary: £45,500 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, including weekends (particularly Sundays)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the attraction, ensuring an exceptional visitor experience while maintaining high interpretive and operational standards.
The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with creativity, commercial awareness, and a passion for storytelling. You will play a key role in developing engaging visitor experiences, events, and educational initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in general arts (essential)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (essential)
- Proven experience managing a museum, heritage site, or visitor attraction
- Strong knowledge of South African and Anglo-Boer War history
- Experience leading and motivating a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commercially aware with a visitor-first mindset
- Full, clean driving licence
