This role is ideal for a qualified offshore candidate with strong expertise in African hair braiding, protective hairstyles, hair extensions, wig installation, and culturally diverse hair care services.The successful candidate will deliver high-quality hair braiding and styling services while maintaining exceptional customer service standards and contributing positively to the salon environment.Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of professional hair braiding services including:
• Box braids
• Cornrows
• Knotless braids
• Senegalese twists
• Faux locs
• Stitch braids
• Protective hairstyles
• Install wigs, weaves, hair extensions, and lace systems
• Provide scalp care and hair maintenance advice to clients
• Consult with clients regarding hairstyles, treatments, and hair care routines
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of salon workstations and equipment
• Ensure all services comply with Australian workplace health and safety standards
• Build and maintain positive client relationships
• Assist with salon promotions and customer engagement
• Work collaboratively within a multicultural team environment
• Maintain stock and assist with ordering hair products and materials when required

Essential Requirements

• Formal qualification in Hairdressing, Hair Braiding, Barbering, Beauty Therapy, or related field OR equivalent industry experience
• Minimum 2–3 years’ full-time experience in professional hair braiding/styling
• Demonstrated experience with African and multicultural hair textures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if required

Desirable Skills

• Experience in wig making and lace installation
• Hair colouring or barbering skills
• Social media marketing/content creation experience
• Retail sales experience within beauty or hair industry
