Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Non medical Prescriber specialised in ADHD to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing specialised medication management and oversight for patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans are implemented.   • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with ADHD symptoms, including medical history and current medication use
  • Prescribe, review, and monitor medication regimens in accordance with clinical guidelines and individual patient needs
  • Provide education and counselling to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and lifestyle considerations
  • Collaborate with GPs, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop holistic care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up actions
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimise outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards related to nonmedical prescribing practices
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in ADHD management and pharmacology through continuous professional development

Qualifications
  • Registered healthcare professional (e.g., nurse independent prescriber, pharmacist independent prescriber) with valid registration with the appropriate regulatory body
  • Proven experience in patient care within mental health or neurological settings is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to neuropsychiatric conditions
  • Demonstrated competence in medication administration and management of prescribing responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to clinical governance standards
