Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team; 482 Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate. In this role, you will move beyond manual testing to design, develop, and maintain sophisticated automation frameworks. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of complex cloud-native applications through continuous testing and the optimisation of regression suites.
📋 Core Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium with TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• API Testing: Analyse and automate backend service testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Playwright API.
• CI/CD Integration: Embed automated tests into Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines to enable a "shift-left" quality culture.
• Performance Testing: Conduct load and stress testing using k6 or JMeter to identify system bottlenecks.
• Test Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on the analysis of functional and technical requirements.
• Defect Management: Analyse test results, identify root causes of failures, and work closely with developers to ensure rapid resolution.
• AI-Augmented Testing: Explore and implement AI-driven testing tools for self-healing scripts and intelligent test data generation.

✅ Technical Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years in Test Automation or Quality Engineering.
• Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
• Framework Mastery: Deep experience with modern tools such as Playwright (highly preferred) or Cypress.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Azure/AWS environments and automated deployment pipelines.
• SQL Skills: Ability to write queries for database validation and test data setup.
• Methodologies: Strong understanding of BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber or Gherkin
