Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes within your section
- Ensuring food preparation and kitchen operations meet health and hygiene standards
- Maintaining HACCP and food safety compliance
- Contributing to menu development and cost measurement
- Monitoring portion control and reducing food waste
- Supporting junior kitchen staff and maintaining smooth kitchen operations
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service
Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen management or related fields
- Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
