- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
- Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments
- Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and caregiving best practices
- Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is highly desirable
- Ability to perform first aid confidently and respond effectively during emergencies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with caregiving duties
- Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely when required
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
