Qualified Electrician

Metricon Homes is Australia's largest volume home builder, operating across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia. Qualified and Licensed Electrician performs electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. The successful candidate will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant electrical standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Install electrical wiring, fixtures, switchboards, outlets, lighting systems, and equipment. Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair electrical faults and malfunctions. Read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and technical specifications. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Install and connect motors, control systems, and electrical panels. Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and instruments. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and workplace safety requirements. Complete job documentation, reports, and compliance certificates as required. Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades on projects. Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls when necessary. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment. Qualifications & Requirements Current electrical licence (state/territory-specific). Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience in electrical installation and maintenance. Strong understanding of electrical standards, regulations, and safety procedures. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings. Valid driver's licence. White Card (for construction sites, if applicable). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Skills & Competencies Fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail.
