Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and reliable mechanic to join our used car garage. The role will mainly involve working on small cars and carrying out mechanical repairs, preparation work, and fault finding.The main jobs we need someone confident with are timing chains, clutch replacements, gearbox changes, servicing, diagnostics, and general mechanical repairs.We need someone who can work properly, turn up on time, and complete jobs to a good standard without cutting corners.Working HoursMonday to Friday9:00am to 5:00pm5 days per weekMain Duties

• Carrying out timing chain replacements on small cars
• Carrying out clutch replacements
• Removing and fitting gearboxes
• Servicing vehicles
• Diagnosing mechanical faults
• Preparing used cars for sale
• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance
• Keeping the work area clean and organised
• Working safely and responsibly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a mechanic / vehicle technician
• Must be confident with timing chains, clutches, and gearbox work
• Experience working on small cars
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Able to work independently
• Good problem-solving skills
• Must take pride in their work
• Own tools preferred but not essential
