We are looking to recruit a motivated Consultant in Acute Medicine to join colleagues in a dynamic general medicine service within the Health Board in delivering and supporting the Welsh Government’s vision for NHS Wales. This new appointment will join the team of established medical consultants working across Pembrokeshire and will have support to develop/maintain a specialist interest.

Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Grade in Acute Medicine, you will play a key role in:
- Delivering high quality acute and emergency medical care Supporting the leadership and development of Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and the Acute Clinical Decisions Unit (ACDU)
- Contributing to strategic improvements in unscheduled care across the Health Board
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across Primary Care, ED, Acute Oncology, WAST, and community services Participating in innovative pathways such as Hospital @ Home, CATCH outreach, virtual wards and hot clinics
- Office accommodation, secretarial support and full IT access (intranet/internet) are provided. Applicants seeking less than full time hours will be considered, with job content tailored individually.
