The Science Teacher will deliver engaging and effective science lessons, support student achievement, and contribute to the academy’s positive learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science subjects at secondary and/or sixth form level, depending on experience and specialism. Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics in line with curriculum requirements
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support students’ academic development and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and academy activities
- Support examination preparation and academic achievement
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and academy policies
Skills & Experience Required Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or related subject
- Teaching qualification or relevant teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students
Desirable
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Science
- Experience working within schools, colleges, or academies
- Knowledge of UK curriculum standards
