About The Role

We are looking for full-time Flight Nurse to join our LifeFlight Jet Air Ambulance team operating from our Singapore base.

As a LifeFlight Flight Nurse, you will provide expert nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, working alongside Medical Officers on complex aeromedical retrievals across international operations. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting, collaborating with highly skilled medical staff and Pilots to stabilise, monitor, and safely transport patients. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes in a 24/7 aeromedical environment. You’ll be supported by a close-knit team of aviation professionals and experienced medical staff, all committed to delivering world-class care in the air.

As part of a rotating roster, you will participate in a 14 days on / 14 days off schedule within a 28-day roster cycle. During your rostered on-duty period, you will be on-call 24 hours per day for fourteen (14) consecutive days and required to be mission ready within two (2) hours of activation. Roster changeovers occur at 0800 each Monday.

The Flight Nurse is accountable for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care throughout all phases of retrieval. Core responsibilities include:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessment, stabilisation, and ongoing critical care management in pre-hospital and in-transit settings
  • Collaborate with the Medical Officers and Medical Coordinators to determine clinical priorities and retrieval strategies
  • Prepare, package, and transport patients safely, ensuring adherence to aeromedical and clinical safety standards
  • Deliver advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice, including independent management during nurse-only retrieval missions
  • Provide structured, accurate clinical handover to receiving healthcare teams, ensuring continuity of care
  • Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation, including mission records and case reporting within operational systems
  • Ensure readiness, maintenance, and appropriate utilisation of specialised aeromedical equipment
  • Contribute to operational logistics, communication, and risk management during retrieval activities
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and ongoing education initiatives.

Expected Remuneration Range for the Flight Nurse Role is SGD105,000 - SGD110,000 per annum (SGD8,750 - SGD9,167 per month).

Induction training: You will need to be available to join us on Sunday, 26 July 2026 for a six (6) day mandatory clinical induction training program, held at the state-of-the-art LifeFlight Training Academy (LTA), in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The roster would commence post training.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Strong clinical expertise in emergency or intensive care nursing
  • Advanced decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities within multidisciplinary settings
  • A high level of situational awareness and adaptability in complex retrieval environments
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years’ in the last 7 experience in emergency and/or intensive care nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
  • Post gradual qualification in intensive care and or emergency nursing
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and NeoResus certifications
  • Strong clinical judgement, problem-solving skills, and situational awareness
  • Ability to work on-call within a 24/7 roster
  • Demonstrated physical capability to meet operational and manual handling requirements

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in Retrieval or aeromedical medicine environments
  • Trauma or critical care certifications (e.g. TNCC, PHTLS)
  • Previous experience in coordination or leadership roles

You Will Also Require

  • Current Passport
  • The ability to successfully gain and hold a Singaporean Employment Pass or equivalent.
  • The ability to obtain a Seletar Airside Pass
  • Be fully vaccinated against MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B and/or any other vaccination requirements as to the World Health Organisation.
