Civil Science is seeking a Public Works Division Manager to lead and grow our Public Works practice across Idaho.We have an established municipal practice in Idaho — water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway projects — and we're looking for the right leader to grow it. Your work will directly support the communities these systems serve, and your leadership will determine how the division develops from here.We're looking for an experienced Professional Engineer who can balance business development, client relationships, project delivery, and team leadership. That means strengthening relationships with the municipal clients we have, developing new ones, mentoring staff, and building a division that delivers consistent, quality work.Civil Science is 100% employee-owned. Every employee has a stake in the company's success, and we look for leaders who take that ownership seriously — in their projects, their teams, and their communities.What You'll Get to DoLead and grow Civil Science's Idaho Public Works DivisionDevelop and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients throughout IdahoServe as executive-level client contact for public works and municipal infrastructure projectsOversee project delivery, budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality managementLead business development efforts including pursuits, proposals, interviews, and strategic planningMentor, supervise, and develop engineers, project managers, designers, and technical staffImplement division-wide QA/QC standards and project delivery best practicesCollaborate as a team on staffing plans, financial performance, and market growthBuild long-term client partnerships that generate sustainable backlog and repeat businessHelp recruit and develop future leaders within the Idaho Public Works teamWhat We're Looking ForProven leadership in municipal infrastructure and public worksStrong business development and client relationship skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilitiesPassion for growing people, clients, and businessWhat Qualifications You'll NeedBachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license (Idaho or ability to obtain within six months)12+ years of experience in municipal/public works infrastructureExtensive experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway projectsStrong project management and QA/QC leadership experienceExperience supervising technical staff and project managersBusiness development experience including proposal development and client managementProficiency with Civil 3D and Adobe AcrobatAbility to travel throughout Idaho to support clients and project teamsWhat Will Help You Stand OutExisting relationships with Idaho municipalities and public agenciesExperience building or expanding a Public Works practiceProposal leadership, contract negotiation, and fee development experienceFamiliarity with Idaho DEQ, local highway districts, and municipal procurement processesExperience leading strategic growth initiatives within an engineering consulting firmWhy Join Civil Science?Ownership in Your Future: At Civil Science, we're proud to be a 100% employee-owned firm.
