Registered Nurse (RN) Job Duties:1. Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including geriatric and the general patient population.2. Assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating the patient and family regarding pain management.3. Revise plans of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.4. Perform waived testing (point-of-care testing) per Clinical Laboratory's and the patient care unit's policies and procedures.5. Interpret results of waived tests and take appropriate action on waived test results.6. Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age.7. Formulate a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning.8. Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.9. Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and families.10. Communicate with Social Service and other Ancillary Departments as needed regarding both in-facility and post-discharge needs.11. Provide leadership and guidance to the LPN, provide an admission assessment for the LPN's patient, and review the plan of care for the LPN-assigned patients.Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current RN license in the state of Nebraska, or ability to apply for/transfer licensure.Old Mill Rehabilitation (OMR) provides specialized post-acute care in a supportive, patient-focused environment, offering transitional care for individuals who no longer require hospitalization but are not yet ready to return home.
