(Scroll down to the "Caring for You" section)POSITION SUMMARY:Cooks III will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a restaurant, performing "spot" checks on lower level cooks to ensure recipes and cleaning guidelines are being followed, assisting managers in creating prep lists for other kitchen employees, cleaning and inspecting kitchen equipment, reporting any issues immediately to supervisor, following procedures to create a safe work environment for themselves and others, and assisting team members to ensure the best quality of food and cleanliness in the kitchen. Cooks III maybe requiredtolift upto seventy-five (75) pounds.This opportunity is specifically for candidates currently in the United States who are seeking an extension or transfer of a valid H-2B visa.Contract Dates: 12/1/2026 - 5/31/2027WAGE:The base hourly pay range belowrepresentsthe low and high end of Arapahoe Basin's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based onvarious factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just onecomponentof Arapahoe Basin's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.Hourly pay range:$22.00 - $27.50/hourREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Has at leastone (1) year of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, push, pull andlift upto 75 lbs.Stand and walk for 8+ hours.Navigatestairsthroughout your shift.Withstand high altitude conditions at all times.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.WORKING CONDITIONS:You will work almost 100% of the time in a kitchen in a high-altitude environment. Some outside work in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area while working closely with other kitchen employees. Riding a chairlift may berequiredfor certain work locations.
