We are a Vietnamese restaurant and specialize in authentic Vietnamese foods located in SouthAuckland (East Tamaki)Applications require:- Knowledge and working understanding of food control plans, MPI requirements, and generalfood- safety and hygiene.- Proof of experience and/or qualifications required (at least 3 years in cooking)- NZ Cookery Certificate Level 4 or 5 preferred.- Proof of appropriate work visa and eligibility to work in NZ.- A proven work record with references.- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.Key tasks and responsibilities:- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients- Cook food in a timely manner- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff- Inform wait staff about daily specials- Ensure appealing plate presentation- Supervise Cooks and assist as needed- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, removedairy)- Monitor food stock and place orders if required- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areaThese are permanent roles and the pay rate of $30.00 or higher offered will be commensuratewith experience.Minimum hours of work: 30 hours/weekPlease provide a current resume, references, and cover letter.Applications close as soon as we find the right person for our team so don't delay and applytoday!Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hourBenefits:
