The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality out-of-hours veterinary care
, working alongside a dedicated and experienced night nursing team
. You will manage emergency and inpatient cases overnight, ensuring excellent clinical standards and continuity of care within a well-supported hospital environment. Many of these hospitals operate on shared clinical systems
, ensuring full access to patient histories and smooth case progression. Typical rota patterns include 7 nights on / 14 nights off

About You
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon
- RCVS registered or eligible for registration
- Comfortable working sole charge overnight with nursing support
- Strong clinical decision‑making and emergency skills
- Team‑oriented with a commitment to high clinical and client‑care standards

- Providing exceptional emergency and inpatient care overnight
- Managing medical and surgical cases to a high clinical standard
- Developing clear and appropriate treatment plans
- Working collaboratively within a supportive, professional hospital team
- Contributing positively to clinical standards and hospital culture
