Class 2 Truck Driver – Mainfreight

Class 2 Truck Driver Mainfreight NZ | New Zealand Join one of New Zealand’s leading logistics companies and play a key role in delivering freight safely and on time across local metro and regional routes. About the Role As a Class 2 Truck Driver, you will be responsible for local freight pick-ups and deliveries, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently within the Mainfreight network. Key Responsibilities Freight Pick-up & Delivery Operate a Class 2 (medium rigid) truck for local deliveries Pick up and deliver freight to customers, depots, and warehouses Ensure goods are delivered safely, on time, and in good condition Handle palletised freight using forklifts or manual loading when required Loading & Unloading Safely load and unload freight at depots and customer sites Secure loads according to transport safety standards Work closely with warehouse teams for accurate freight handling Route & Delivery Operations Follow assigned delivery routes across metro and regional areas Use handheld scanners or tracking systems for consignments Communicate with dispatch and operations teams Vehicle Care & Safety Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance issues Keep vehicles clean, safe, and compliant with NZ transport regulations Follow all health, safety, and fatigue management procedures Customer Service Interact professionally with customers during deliveries Ensure accurate documentation and Proof of Delivery (POD) Represent Mainfreight’s service culture of professionalism and care What We’re Looking For? Valid NZ Class 2 driver’s licence Good physical fitness for loading and unloading freight Strong reliability and punctuality Basic communication and numeracy skills Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background checks Forklift licence is an advantage Pay: From $6,200.00 per month Benefits:
