Job description
Are you a compassionate and driven nurse eager to make a difference?
Join Ward 34, a 24-bedded unit within the Medical Division specialising in the care of respiratory patients. We are seeking Registered Nurses who are committed to delivering the highest quality patient care within a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.
Ward 34 is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where collaboration is key. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent care, from admission through to safe discharge planning. Working here offers the chance to develop and enhance your skills while making a real impact on patients’ lives.
Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced nurses who are ready to thrive in a rewarding environment. If you’re ready to provide exceptional care and make a meaningful impact in the community we serve, we would love to hear from you.
As a Registered Nurse on Ward 34, you will:
Support the Ward Leader/Deputy Ward Leader in the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day care of patients, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and expertise.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement safe and effective discharge processes.
Actively participate in maintaining the ward’s excellent standards of care, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Take ownership of your professional development by attending mandatory training and engaging in self-directed learning.
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
