We are seeking a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead daily store operations and ensure exceptional service standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, stock, financial performance, and compliance with New Zealand workplace regulations. This position requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to maintain efficient operations and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Operational Management
  • Oversee all day-to-day store operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain store presentation, equipment, and operational standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Product and Stock Control
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and replenishment to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, minimise wastage, and review product mix performance.

Sales, Marketing, and Pricing
  • Implement and evaluate marketing campaigns and local promotions to boost sales.
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to adjust products and services.
  • Review and update pricing strategies in line with company policy and market conditions.

Financial and Administrative Management
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, daily sales reports, and financial transactions.
  • Control operational expenses while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost-effectiveness.

Staff Management and Training
  • Recruit, train, and supervise store team members to maintain consistent service standards.
  • Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties, and review performance regularly.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture with a focus on staff development and wellbeing.

Customer Service and Quality Standards
  • Ensure every customer receives professional, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.
  • Uphold high standards of product presentation, cleanliness, and overall service quality.

Compliance and Health & Safety
  • Ensure all operations comply with employment law, food safety, and workplace health & safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine risk assessments and safety checks.
  • Maintain accurate compliance and training documentation.

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 1 year or more of experience in a retail or food-service in a supervisory or management role.
  • Hold a diploma or above level qualification in the absence of required experience.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in budgeting, reporting, and stock-control systems.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand health, safety, and food-hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including during weekends and public holidays
