Overview Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal – South Wales | RCVS Accredited Practice | £50,000–£55,000 DOE (Pro Rata) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive, high-performing small animal veterinary team in South Wales, working across two well-established practices. This role is ideal for a qualified MRCVS Vet who enjoys a balance of surgery and medicine, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about delivering excellent clinical care and client service. The Role The Veterinary Surgeon will work alongside a Branch Partner, experienced vets committed to high clinical standards, and skilled veterinary nurses who actively undertake Schedule 3 procedures. The role is split across two practices:

- RCVS-accredited first opinion practice
A busy small animal clinic managing a high volume of emergency and critical care (ECC) cases, housed in a spacious, modern building with: - Three consulting rooms
- Dedicated operating theatre
- Imaging room
- Close collaboration with Visiting Veterinary Specialists (VVS) for ultrasound support
- Community-focused small animal practice (Cynon Valley)
A friendly, welcoming practice located in the heart of the Cynon Valley, serving a loyal client base. The area offers excellent local amenities, scenic walks, and easy access to the wider South Wales region.
Working PatternThis is a part-time veterinary role with a consistent rota:
- Monday & Tuesday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Community Practice)
- Friday: 8:30am – 6:30pm (First Opinion Practice)
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (rota)
