Job description

Are you an experienced paediatric dietitian with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families? Here's an exciting opportunity to be a part of our dynamic multi-professional team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.

We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our paediatric dietetics team on a fixed term, to cover maternity.

You'll work closely with both outpatient and inpatient cases, providing crucial nutritional support to children. Your expertise in paediatrics will shine as you handle a diverse caseload with confidence and professionalism.

We're seeking a dietitian with a passion for paediatrics and a knack for communication and clinical excellence. If you're organized, confident, and eager to make a difference, you're the perfect fit!

You'll have the privilege of working under the guidance of our clinical lead for paediatric dietetics, ensuring you receive valuable mentorship and support. Plus, you'll regularly engage with our exceptional dietetic team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

We're committed to your continuous professional development! Our team participates in regular CPD activities to keep you on the cutting edge of paediatric dietetics, empowering you to provide the best care possible.

At Sherwood Forest Hospitals, we're driven by care and compassion. We share a commitment to our trust care values, and you'll be an essential part of this meaningful journey.

To understand the role in more detail, please refer to the attached job description and person specification.

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
