Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
- HR experience preferred (school or nonprofit setting a plus)
- Knowledge of HR systems and compliance requirements preferred
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all documentation and hard copies are properly uploaded and stored in TalentED
- Assist employees and administrators with HR-related inquiries and processes
- Provide guidance and support related to Workers’ Compensation, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and FMLA
- Assist with employment, licensure, and background verification requests
- Track and support H-1B employees to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and deadlines
- Assist with HR census preparations and audits
- Coordinate and manage HR department calendar events, deadlines, and compliance timelines
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and orientation coordination
- Assist with benefits administration and annual enrollment processes
- Support policy implementation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations
- Collaborate with leadership to support employee relations initiatives
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support department operations
