Hectre is an agritech software company that provides orchard management and fruit quality solutions to help fruit growers improve harvesting, tracking, payroll, and packing operations through AI and computer vision technology.The Hectre Senior Machine Learning Engineer role is focused on computer vision, deep learning, and ML infrastructure for fruit-quality AI systems used in agriculture. The position is hybrid in Auckland and part of Hectre’s Vision Team. Main ResponsibilitiesBuild and deploy deep-learning computer vision modelsImprove model accuracy and robustness in real-world environmentsCreate ML training/deployment pipelinesWork with AWS services like ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and SageMakerRapid experimentation and prototypingCollaborate closely with engineers and product teamsStay current with computer vision research and techniques Skills WE wantStrong Python experienceDeep learning + computer vision expertiseML deployment pipeline experienceAWS/cloud engineering knowledgeStartup or fast-moving product environment experienceCommunication and collaboration skillsBonus: camera hardware / imaging knowledgePay: From $12,500.00 per monthBenefits:
