Housekeeper/Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner / Domestic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including commercial spaces of the Care Home. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests and staff. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of areas for events or gatherings as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to Residents concerns regarding cleanliness.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
• Follow established cleaning protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Previous experience in Care Home or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Basic cooking skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

• How many hours a week are you looking to work?
• Our shifts may begin at 9am and may end at 5pm and we operate on a weekend on weekend off rota. Please confirm you are able to meet these requirements.
