Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day warehouse operations including goods in, storage, stock control, and dispatch activities.
- Overseeing inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock levels and regular stock reconciliation.
- Coordinating customer order processing including picking, packing, and timely delivery of goods.
- Managing supplier quotations, purchase orders, and procurement coordination for building materials.
- Liaising with suppliers, transport providers, and logistics partners to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Monitoring warehouse performance and ensuring operational efficiency across all warehouse functions.
- Supporting sales operations through order handling and coordination between warehouse and internal teams.
- Managing operational workflows to ensure smooth movement of goods and effective stock distribution.
- Overseeing supplier invoices related to goods movement and ensuring accurate processing of operational costs.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and warehouse operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse, storage, logistics, or distribution environment is desirable.
- Spoken, written knowledge of languages: Punjabi, Hindi and English is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of stock control systems and inventory management processes.
- Experience in coordinating supplier orders, procurement activities, and logistics operations.
- Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage operational workflows in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience within a building materials or trading/distribution business is advantageous.
