Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment The Royal Hotel in Elgin. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a proactive individual capable of supervising staff, managing guest relations, and ensuring the smooth running of all hotel functions. Fluency in multiple languages is preferred to enhance communication with diverse guests and team members. The Hotel Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service, operational efficiency, and organisational excellence.Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Duties
  • Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Oversee guest services to ensure a welcoming environment and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
  • Manage human resources functions such as recruitment, training, performance reviews, and staff scheduling.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimise efficiency and service quality.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to maintain high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and hotel industry standards.
  • Promote a positive organisational culture centred around teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.
  • Utilise multilingual skills to communicate effectively with international guests and staff members.
  • Organise staff training programmes to enhance skills related to guest services and hospitality standards.

Qualifications
  • Supervisory roles within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
