Southern Cross Healthcare is New Zealand’s largest private healthcare network, operating hospitals, surgical centres, and rehabilitation services across the country to deliver a wide range of elective and specialist care.A Registered Nurse – Peri-Anaesthesia (also called a PACU nurse or Perioperative Recovery Nurse) cares for patients before and after anaesthesia and surgery. They work in areas such as Pre-Admission Clinics, Day Surgery Units, and Post Anaesthesia Care Units (PACU). Job Description Key responsibilities include:Conducting pre-operative assessments and preparing patients for surgery.Monitoring patients during recovery from anaesthesia.Assessing airway, breathing, circulation, pain levels, and vital signs.Administering medications and managing pain relief.Recognising and responding to post-operative complications.Coordinating discharge planning and patient education.Collaborating with anaesthetists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring patient safety.Pay: $6,800.00 – $8,900.00 per monthBenefits:
