Job description
Group Leader, Antibody–Oligo Conjugates (AOC)
You are an experienced bioconjugation or AOC‑focused scientist who thrives in discovery. You know how to design, implement, and optimise antibody–oligo conjugates, build assays, validate constructs, and move programmes toward candidate selection. You want to lead a function, build a team, and shape an emerging therapeutic platform from the ground up.A newly established RNA‑therapeutics initiative is scaling rapidly and now seeks a Group Leader, Antibody–Oligo Conjugates to lead AOC engineering, bioconjugation workflows, assay development, and cross‑functional integration. The programme is expanding from 13 to ~80 scientists and needs leaders who “make things happen,” build systems, and deliver progress at pace.
THE ROLEYou will lead the AOC engineering and bioconjugation strategy, implementing antibody‑based tissue‑targeting approaches while simultaneously building the team around you. Your work ensures that AOCs move efficiently from design → conjugation → assay → validation → pre‑candidate stage. This is a discovery‑heavy, hands‑on scientific leadership role where you define how the entire AOC workflow operates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead AOC engineering for tissue‑targeting applications, including design and implementation of conjugation strategiesBuild complete flow‑schemes for AOC discovery; from design through screening, validation, and selectionOwn bioconjugation strategy and oversee the work of a Bioconjugation Scientist/Senior ScientistOversee antibody generation, CRO interactions, and characterisation of known bindersAct as a scientific leader, problem‑solver, and “good citizen” within a multicultural, startup‑style team
ABOUT YOUStrong background in bioconjugation, ADC/AOC engineering, or related antibody–nucleic acid modalitiesDeep experience developing assays, validating conjugates, and understanding toxicity vs non‑toxicity mechanismsAbility to run full discovery flow‑schemes and drive programmes toward candidate selectionBuilt and managed teams.
LOGISTICSFull‑time, on‑site in SingaporeVisa sponsorship availableVery competitive benefits structure; relocation support availableEffective income tax typically 18–19% (max 24%)Competitive Annual Salary
