Semi-Skilled Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Assistant

Budget Carsis looking for a Semi-Skilled Vehicle Mechanic / Fleet Assistant to help support the maintenance and daily checks of our vehicles.This role is ideal for someone with basic mechanical knowledge who understands vehicle checks and can assist our workshop team in keeping our fleet safe and roadworthy.Key Responsibilities

• Check and top up engine oil and coolant on company vehicles.
• Torque vehicle wheel nuts to the correct specification.
• Carry out basic vehicle inspections and identify defects or issues.
• Report mechanical faults or safety concerns to the workshop manager.
• Assist with daily vehicle safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the workshop area.
• Support mechanics with basic maintenance tasks when required.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical or vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to recognise vehicle defects and safety issues.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
