- Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Helping with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Assisting with medication administration following care plans and protocols
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure personalised care
- Supporting individuals with social activities to promote wellbeing and independence
- Driving or accompanying clients on outings or appointments when necessary (if qualified)
Experience
- Prior experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits or outings
- Strong communication skills are vital for building trust and understanding residents’ needs
