Position: Salaried GP
Salaried GP - Donnington Medical Centre. We are a well established General Practice seeking a GP to undertake 6 sessions per week as a salaried GP in a challenging and fast‑paced, highly rewarding environment, with potential for future partnership. We serve about 14,500 patients in North Telford, provide comprehensive care and value professional development. Job Responsibilities
  • Clinical responsibilities: undertake surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visit patients at home, check and sign repeat prescriptions, deal with paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion, make professional, autonomous decisions, assess health care needs, screen patients, develop care plans, provide counselling and health education, admit or discharge patients, record clear consultation notes, compile and issue prescriptions, prescribe in accordance with the practice formulary, and undertake all normal GP duties.
  • Other responsibilities within the organisation: awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety), commitment to life‑long learning and audit, contribute to evaluation and audit and clinical standard setting, development of computer‑based patient records, summarising patient records and read‑coding, and attending training and events organised by the practice or other agencies.

  • Respect patients' sensitive information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with practice policies.
  • Limit disclosure of confidential information to authorised persons only.

Health & Safety
  • Implement and lead promotion and management of health & safety and infection control as defined in the practice health & safety policy.
  • Use personal security systems, follow national standards of infection control, manage specimen processes, use PPE correctly, manage infection control procedures, monitor facilities and equipment, manage sharps use and waste, maintain clean environments, and conduct periodic infection control training.

Person Specification
  • Registered with the GMC and listed on the GMC GP Register with evidence of revalidation.
  • Accepted medical degree.
  • Evidence of continued personal and professional development.
  • Appropriate safeguarding training.
  • Registered on the National Medical Performers list.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

Qualifications
  • Current UK professional registration.
  • Certificate of sponsorship (for sponsored applicants).
  • Compliance with UK Visas and Immigration requirements for skilled worker sponsorship.
