Volleyball (Boys) CCA Instructor

Job Description Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Provide high-quality coaching in English to develop students ranging from beginners to advanced players.
• Skill Development: Teach mastery of techniques including service, footwork, receiving, and spiking.
• Game Strategy: Enable students to understand basic rules and apply game concepts such as defense and movement into space.
• Competition Prep: Prepare students for Tier, League, and National School Games (NSG) competitions.
• Values & Discipline: Impart sportsmanship, determination, resilience, and teamwork through group practices.
• Planning: Create developmental training plans specifically for P5 and P6 levels.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Professional Certification: Must possess minimum SG-Coach Level 1 (Theory/Technical) or higher.
• Registration: Must be registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) as a CCA Physical Sports Instructor and the National Registry of Coaches (NROC).
• Safety: Must hold a valid First Aid certification with CPR and AED.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience specifically for Volleyball CCA in a school setting.
• Language: Must be proficient in English.
• Work Status: Foreigners must possess a valid Employment Pass for the duration of the contract.

Professional Expectations

• Conduct: Maintain professional boundaries with students at all times and adhere to the Expectations of Instructors code of conduct (Annex C).
• Safety First: Assist the teacher-in-charge with Risk Assessment and Management System (RAMS) and conduct standard safety briefings.
• Administrative Compliance: Instructors must not collect money from students or make commitments on behalf of the school without authorization.

Estimated Commitment The programme consists of approximately 192 total hours, broken down as follows:

• Standard Training: 168 hours.
• Key Milestones: 24 hours (includes training camps, NSG Zonal Competitions, and friendly games).
